Painting Classes

Well the regular classes have begun and going well.   I think this is going to be another great year. Everyone is so excited about using texture and trying new things. There maybe 2 spaces still available.

  ARTIST'S HARD AT WORK!

The painting classes run from the beginning of September though to the end of June, once a week.  The children's classes are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 3:15 to 5:15. and there are some adult classes.  There are summer classes as well and students can choose which classes they would like. They generally run the month of July and the first 2 weeks of August.  Everyone works at their own speed and on their own projects.

They start with the concept, to preparing the canvas, to knowing how to start and more importantly how to finish a painting, and then they start again. Something can be learned from each painting as it is an ongoing process. We also love to explore various style and mixed media.   We use acrylic paints and everyone should have their own marked supplies, except  the summer students. The UPSTART CROW in Ladner carries  everything we need and they have the supply list.

    These classes are low key and fun and I make REALLY good hot chocolate and tea. As far as age goes, I don't usually take anyone under 7 because they do not have the attention span needed for 2 hours.
