LINDA JONES

Linda is a professional artist, art teacher, business women and community volunteer. With over 20 years of teaching art, she has inspired children and adult artists to express themselves with various media. In addition to sharing her love of art with her students, Linda contributes to community projects within the schools, the arts, and festivals with her artistic abilities and her sincere desire to understand and connect with her community.

Linda enjoys taking risks and trying new techniques. One of her latest bodies of works is a fusion of form, colour and texture, as she turns her canvases into sculptural and tactile tress, flowers and landscapes. She is deeply inspired by the imagery of western Canada but also draws her inspiration from her travels Her latest trip to Italy has been a great source for many recent paintings.

When I look at trees, houses, animals, the ocean or my wonderful grandchildren, everything is a potential painting.........my lists are getting longer all the time."

I am pleased to announce that I was the recent recipient of the Gold Arts Award from the Burns Bog Conservation Society. It is quite an honor. A big thank you to the Delta Arts Council for their nomination.

Linda works and resides in Ladner BC, just south of Vancouver in the Pacific Northwest . Vancouver is the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

She is married with 3 children and has 3 amazing grandchildren.
